Understanding Your Visa Application Terms

Please read these terms before you submit a Laos eVisa application. By using this service, you agree to these rules and responsibilities.

eVisa Validity and Usage

Your eVisa is for one entry only and must be used within its valid period. Your passport must stay valid, and you must follow Laos laws after entry.

Stay Duration and Restrictions

You must leave Laos before your approved stay ends. This visa does not allow work, formal study, or foreign media activities.

Application Processing and Approval

All eVisa applications are considered on individual merit, and the Laos High Commission/Consulate has the right to seek additional information at any stage of processing. The fact that an application for visa has been received by the eVisa system does not guarantee that the eVisa will be issued. Laos High Commission/Consulate reserves the right to refuse an eVisa application without providing any reason. Applicant shall ensure that they hold a valid Laos eVisa before they travel to Laos.

Application Timing

Applicants must submit their eVisa applications at an appropriate time before travelling to Laos. Under no circumstances this site or E Services will not be responsible or liable for any delay of travel arrangement as a result of an applicant's inappropriate action in regard to the time of submitting the visa application or the visa assessment result of the High Commission and Consulates.

Accuracy of Information

Applicants must ensure that all information furnished by, or on behalf of the applicant for the eVisa application is true and accurate. Any mistake / misinformation caused by the applicants, which results to rejection and re-application of eVisa, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to re-apply and pay for a new eVISA application.

eVisa Revocation

An eVisa may be revoked at any time and for any reason, such as new information influencing eligibility. Applicants may be subjected to administrative or criminal penalty if they knowingly and wilfully make any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation in an electronic travel authorization application submitted by the applicant or on the applicant's behalf.

Payment and Fees

Applicants are required to make payments for the eVisa processing fee and Visa fee in order to submit the eVisa application. Additional fees will be imposed by the online payment gateway service provider for the online payment transactions made between the applicant and the authorized issuing banks. In the event the eVisa application is rejected, Visa Fee is subject to refundable on case to case basis and the process of refunding may take up to 5 - 15 days. However, the Processing fee will not be refunded back to the applicants.

Processing Time

eVISA application will be processed within 4 - 5 days from the time the applicants has made payment and the submitted eVISA application. The approval of eVISA application is under the sole discretion of the Laos High Commission/Consulate. Laos High Commission/Consulate also reserves the right to decline/rejects an eVISA application without providing any reason whatsoever.

The said processing time also does not include unforeseen or uncontrollable events including, but not limited to, system maintenance downtime, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events or acts of war. Once the application has been approved, applicants will receive an email notification regarding the eVisa application result. Application result may include the following status:

  • SUBMITTED - The eVisa application has been submitted for processing
  • APPROVED - The eVisa application has been approved
  • REJECTED - The eVisa application has been declined

Decision Authority

The Laos High Commission/Consulate has the right to reject any eVisa applications without providing reasons of rejection. Applicant is acknowledged and confirms that the E Services is not involved in the visa assessment and decision-making process. The Laos High Commission/Consulates has the authority to decide whether an eVisa will be issued or not, the type of eVisa to be issued as well as its validity, duration of stay and number of entries in accordance with Laos's relevant laws and regulations. Applicant is required to pay all the fees to the E Services regardless of the result of the application.

Entry Permission

Issuance or approval of an eVisa does not in any way guarantee the applicant the right to enter Laos. The entry is at the sole discretion of the Laos Immigration Officer at the entry point. In case of denial of visa or entry into Laos by the Immigration Officer, E Services shall not be liable to the applicant in any manner.

Required Documents at Entry Points

Applicants shall furnish the following proofs to the Immigration Officers at the Entry/Exit points:

  • Approved eVisa
  • Sufficient expenses (Cash / Credit Cards / ATM Cards)
  • Confirmed roundtrip tickets
  • Accommodation proof

Inquiries and Assistance

Inquiries to the E Services is based on its unilateral understanding of applicant's inquiries and the limited information known and mastered by it in order to provide assistance for its applicants for their visa applications. No matter what circumstances, it cannot be interpreted that the E Services has made any promise or assurance, nor does it bear any other legal responsibility for the answers to applicant's inquiries.

Limitation of Liability

Applicants acknowledge and agree that under no circumstances will the E Services be liable to them or anyone claiming through them for any indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential losses or damages of whatever nature, or for loss or profits, loss of opportunity, loss of business or goodwill or interruption of business, whether arising out of or in connection with their application and/or any of the eVISA application services, and whether or not relating to any act, error, omission or negligence by the E Services Counter or any officer, agent, employee and representative of the E Services.

eVisa Revocation and Entry Permission

eVisa / Visa is subject to entry permission by an Immigration Official at the time of actual entry and can be revoked at any time.

Service Provider Information

This is an online private application which is operated by EServices, we are not provided or not officially connected with others. Its an independent organization handling visa queries. All risk and causes are borne by applicants. E Services is handling your application and processing your documents to the immigration system.

Acceptance of Terms

Applicants hereby agrees to accept and confirm that the applicant, prior to submitting the visa application, has read, understood and agreed to be bound by, without limitation or qualification, all of the terms, conditions and details provided herein.
